practice race today 2

A few photos from today. Tom setting out for practice race after the team briefing from Suzanah. All of the cometitors took the race as a chance for final tuning and preparation, although it seems that many either deliberately started OCS or did not finish the race - thus it was not possible to see how we were doing against the rest of the fleet.

After the race the retrieval was fast with all boats coming ashore very quickly. The 4 ramps took us a bit by surprise as they have one end floating and one end hinged to the pavement - so with 10+ optis holiding on and 2-3 beoing pulled up the floating end sinks leaving the ramp very steep indeed!

Sails are stored in a huge tent - see photos below. This is just 1 half of the tent!
