After 2 nights stayin near Cologne, we boarded a train on Tuesday morning and travelled for nearly 5 hours to Berlin. A short U-bahn and bus ride later (dragging suitcases and sail tube) and we arrived in Tegel airport where we met the rep from the Polish organisers who was there to take us and others to the event. Tom his mum Rhonna arrived an hour later, after some hassles with the their flight from Paris (via London) and having had their sail tube confiscated.
Together with a few others, we then drove 3 hours by mini bus to Kamien Pormorski in northern Poland where we arrived early evening. The first people that we met were the 4 sailors from the Kiwi team who were to be our team mates for the week, together with Suzanah our coach.
We were set for the event!
